Childcare Public Law
- Are Social Services
involved with your children?
- Has a Social Worker talked
to you about the Child Protection Register or is your child’s name on
the Child Protection Register?
- Have Social Services
given you a “Child Protection Agreement” that you have to keep to?
- Are your children in
foster care or living elsewhere?
- Has a Social Worker
told you that Social Services are going to make an application to the
Court in relation to your children?
- We can provide you
with advice and assistance in relation to these sorts of
issues. We are specialists in this complicated area of the
law concerning children. All our senior lawyers are
members of the Law Society Children Panel.
- It is always important
that if Social Services are involved with your children, you seek legal
advice as early as possible. This is your right.
We can help you with issues of contact, parental responsibility and
residence. We can also advise you about the services that
the law says your children may be entitled to.
- We have connections
with local agencies and voluntary bodies who we can approach to give you
assistance if this is required.
- We can carry out an
initial assessment as to your eligibility for public funding free of
charge.
- If Social Services
make an application to the Court in relation to your children, you will
be automatically eligible for public funding.
